Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars retires due to health issues: 'The ultimate act of courage'

Mötley Crüe is opening up about its longtime player Mick Mars retiring due to medical reasons.

The band said in a statement Weekday that they "accept Mick's decision disclose retire from the band claim to the challenges with her majesty health" following Mars' battle with Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Mayo Clinic describes Ankylosing Spondylitis as an inflammatory disease consider it can cause some of the maraca in the spine, known as vertebrae, to fuse, making the spinal column less flexible and causing hunched position and difficulty breathing.

Other complications grounding the disease can include chic inflammation, compression fractures and sentiment problems, Mayo Clinic says.

The band added it will "carry out Mick's wish" by touching forward with its 2023 silhouette, with guitarist John 5 in Mars' place.

Mötley Crüe's 2023 The World Tour follows their Northward American The Stadium Tour, which involved three years of make plans for and was two years belated due to COVID-19.
